Why does artificial turf start smelling after dogs use it?

Artificial turf drains liquid, but the surface and infill still collect residue and organic material over time. Once that builds up, heat and moisture can make it noticeable — especially in a Phoenix summer. Rinsing the top of the turf with a hose does not necessarily reach everything sitting in the turf system.

How often should artificial turf be professionally cleaned?

It depends on the yard: how many dogs use it, how much shade it gets, how much debris falls on it, and how it was installed. Most pet households want it handled more often than turf that only gets foot traffic. Send photos and we'll recommend a frequency for your yard.

Can you clean turf with multiple dogs?

Yes. Multi-dog yards are a core part of why Turf Reset exists. The number of dogs, their size and how heavily they use the turf all factor into the service and the quote.

Do you remove dog hair and debris?

Hair, leaves and organic debris that work their way into turf are part of what we address during a Reset. Heavily embedded material may take more time, which is why photos help us quote accurately.

Can you help with matted turf?

Accepted Answer

Turf grooming to lift flattened fibers is part of our service scope. Results vary with the age, type and condition of the turf, so we'll be straightforward with you after seeing photos.

Do you add or maintain infill?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Reset includes redistributing and leveling the existing infill so the fibers stand back up and the surface drains the way it was designed to. If a yard is low on infill or the infill has broken down, we'll tell you after seeing the turf and quote fresh antimicrobial infill as an add-on.

How long does a turf cleaning appointment take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential yards take one to three hours. A small patio-sized area with light use can be done in under an hour; a large multi-dog yard that hasn't been cleaned in years can take most of a morning. You get a time estimate with your quote.

Do I need to be home?

Accepted Answer

No. We just need gate access, an outdoor water spigot and pets kept inside while we work. If the gate is locked, leave a code or unlock it the morning of service. We text before we arrive and again when the yard is finished.
